We are seeking to appoint an ambitious teacher who has the passion and motivation to inspire students. You will be an enthusiastic and well-qualified teacher of PE, passionate about your sport, with a wider understanding of well-being and health. You will also have the ability to teach KS5 and experience of BTEC Sport qualifications.


Whether you are an established teacher or an NQT wishing to start your teaching career, if you are ambitious, have a passion for the subject and are able to deliver excellent lessons that are exciting, engaging and inclusive then we wish to hear from you.


Cox Green Sports Academy is a successful post 16 education and football academy set within the Cox Green School a well-established co-educational Academy school, situated in the heart of the community of Cox Green in Maidenhead. 

Our student athletes thrive in an environment committed to achievement, supported by our team of excellent teachers and pastoral staff. We are oversubscribed year on year, testimony to the quality of teaching and learning we provide. 

The school is extremely proud to have been awarded funding of £4.7 million for a new building project from our Borough. Work started in July 2017 on new Science Laboratories, Maths classrooms and a cafeteria. This is due to be completed in September 2018.

As one of the top performing academies in the area both on and off the pitch we take pride in getting the most out each of our students.

Sky Sports Feature

Recently Sky Sports visited to produce a feature on Barry Hayles, it was excellent to see past and present Cox Green players getting exposure to!! 

National League Squad move up to 3rd

November 08, 2017

Following a goal fest away to Eastleigh, our National League gained 3 points in a 5-4 victory. The game certainly featured attacking play from both sides. After leading at half time we went on to manage the game and deliver a solid 2nd half display. Excellent effort from all squad members.

Hugo Sobte tours Italy with Brentford B

October 26, 2017

Cox Green scholar Hugo Sobte has been training with Brentford's B team set up, he has impressed the coaches enough for the Bees development squad to include him on their recent Italian tour where they faced widely regarded Atlanta Academy and European giants Inter and AC Milan.

He has also been involved in match day squads vs. Manchester City and Everton U23s recently.

Academy Scholar Trials at Wolves

Another exciting opportunity for a Cox Green scholar as one of our 1st years was invited to play in a game vs Wolves U18s, at the Sir Jack Haywood Training complex on Tuesday 3rd October. 

This highlights the current standard of player at Cox Green and the opportuntites created if individuals match work ethic with their ability.

Academy Director excited about Pro Club Trials for Scholars

We are extremely excited to announce that two Cox Green Sports Academy are currently on trial with Professional Clubs. Hugo Sobte at an EFL Championship side and Keaton August a EFL League 2 side. Both scholars have outstanding application and attitude to learning which has been rewarded with the fantastic opportunity of trying to earn a pro contract. 

Ashley Smith - Academy Director explains 'Both players have had excellent seasons and have both had individual accolades with Hugo a Nike Academy Global finalist and Keaton recently receiving a International call-up.  This is the next stage of their development and demonstrates our approach and training methods are productive and that we are offering young aspiring players the platform to excel.'

Keaton earns International Call-Up

We are extremely pleased to announce Cox Green Sports Academy 1st Yr has received an U17 International Call-Up by New Zealand FA. The training camp will take place in Auckland, NZ from 16th - 20th July where the squad will be making their final preparations ahead of the U17 World Cup in October.

Keaton August expressed his delight 'It's a real honour and privilege, I am now looking forward to meeting the coaches and players and getting started.'

Academy Director Ashley Smith added 'Keaton's call up has been thoroughly deserved, his hunger and thirst to learn everyday is excellent and we believe he has the quality to make this step up. Academy Head Coach Jack Porter has coached and mentored Keaton this season and also deserves recognition in his development. The next year is going to be exciting for Keaton and we are pleased to have given him the platform to excel.' 

Elite Squad 2 vs. 3 Derby County U18s

March 13, 2017

On Tuesday 7th March our Elite squad faced Derby County U18s, the journey started on Monday with match prep training and meeting before boarding the coach. Once the squad arrived in Derby we checked in to the hotel before an evening meal at Nando's.

The game started with a very high intensity as you would expect from one of the countries leading Academies. At half time we found ourselves 3-0 down however we grew in confidence and thrived as the game went on firstly being awarded a penalty that MOM Andy Ingram dispatched. Keaton August started to find space and dominate in wide and his productivity payed off with a neat left foot finish. 

We would like to thank Derby County Football Club for their outstanding hospitality and our students for excellent professional during the trip.

Academy stars impress at Nike Academy

Following Cox Green's No. 1 Hugo Sobte's Global Finalist appearance in 2016, several other Cox Green Sports Academy students are on the quest to replicate Hugo's accomplishment with the NIKE ACADEMY.


The prestigious Nike Academy offers young players a once in a life time opportunity to train daily whilst trying to secure Professional contracts have recently held trials in London, with the best players being invited back for a showcase game on Monday 13th February. Good Luck to Connor, Keaton, Usman, Taufee, Bradley and Hugo.

Tactic Central Fixture

Oxhey Jets 5 - 7 Cox Green 

The U19A team made hard work of their first competitive fixture of 2017, with several regulars missing through injury it gave opportunities one player that fully capitalised on this was Etefia Junior, he continuously terrorised Oxheys defence with cleaver and powerful running with and without the ball earning him MOM. 

Windy conditions and disappointing defending allowed Oxhey back in the game at H/T the score was level at 3-3. In the 2nd half we showed a majority in performance and managing the game whilst enhancing our attacking threat.

Narrow defeat vs CAT 1 Academy

Our 2nd fixture vs Professional opposition this season result in a narrow defeat vs. Reading FC U18s. We would like to thank all players and staff for the excellent hospitality at Hogwood training ground. 

Our players gave an excellent account of themselves,  demonstrating they can hold their own against some of the countries most talented youngsters.

Hugo wins place at Nike Academy global final

FA Youth Cup Loss

September 20, 2016

Our FA Youth Cup journey came to an end in typical cup fashion. It had it all: late goals, extra time and penalties. Unfortunately we could not hold on to a 2-0 lead and despite Hugo Sobte saving a penalty it wasn't enough to win the tie. Good Luck to Bracknell in the next round!
